In collaboration with the Scottish Informatics & Computer Science Alliance, the University of Edinburgh Children and Technology research group are hosting a workshop on:
Children & Technology: Toward interdisciplinary collaboration
10am - 3pm, Room 1.19 Paterson's Land, Moray House School of Educatio
This workshop will discuss opportunities and challenges for working in the Children and Technology field by sharing projects that have brought together child development research and technology, highlighting how engaging externally with people outside of our field of expertise has created more impactful outcomes. This event will also be discussing some of the future challenges, such as ethical considerations and data sharing, for working in the children and technology field. We have invited speakers from industry and practice, and academics who will share specific examples of their collaborative work. Attendees are encouraged to share their own experiences and we invite demonstrations or visualisations of work to share with others throughout the day.
A valuable networking opportunity, this SICSA sponsored event is aimed at academics, practitioners, PhD students, and those working in the technology industry who are interested in working with children.
Cost: Free (light lunch provided)
