Saturday 11 November 12 noon - 4pm, Ocean Terminal
Promises of ‘teacher-light’ tuition and enhanced ‘efficiency’ via teaching automation have been with us since the early days of digital education. Does it work? Can it? Is it all about ‘digital education’?
The Centre for Research in Digital Education will be hosting a public engagement event on teaching automation for children and parents on 11 November at the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. There will be drop-in activities for younger and older children, including stories, drawing, Lego building, fun quizzes, and Miss Alexa. Come and meet researchers from our Research Centre to look at what automation in education could mean, and think about the social, ethical and pedagogical questions raised by automation in education.
