Peter Edward McKenna

Visiting Associate

Peter holds a MRes (Masters of Research) in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde, and is currently finishing a PhD in Psychology from Heriot-Watt University. His doctoral research investigated children’s embodied cognition and executive functioning.

As a visiting associate Peter is conducting research on gestures, and more specifically, how representational hand gestures (e.g. metaphorical gestures) provide a window to students conceptual understanding of computer science concepts. The project is funded by the Carnegie Trust.
