Digital Cultures

About Digital Cultures

The Digital Cultures research theme pays close attention to the interconnections between digital technologies, practices, environments and a range of cultural contexts.  Countries and regions around the world, and their education, knowledge, labour, creative industry and heritage systems, are being re-shaped by digital and data technology. Digital technologies, in turn, are shaped by the cultural contexts in which they are made and used. Digital Cultures embraces the diverse areas of expertise of our academics, and a shared commitment to developing critical perspectives on education, culture, work, society and technology. We are actively researching high impact areas including digital pedagogies and futures, digital cultural heritage, workplace learning and international development and education.
