
Phil Sheail is a Lecturer in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are interdisciplinary, based in the area of digital and higher education, but drawing on organisational theory, cultural geography, and social theories of time. Phil's current interests include media and information literacies (and how platforms shape information), and digital cultural heritage (digital volunteering and infrastructure). Her most recent research project, with Jen Ross (PI), Melissa Terras and Cate Schofield, is Infrastructure Futures for Digital Cultural Heritage with small project funding from the Creative Informatics AHRC Creative Cluster programme. Phil is currently working on experiences of digital volunteering and public pedagogy. She teaches on the MSc in Digital Education, including qualitative Research Methods and Information Literacies.
