Debbie Schachter is the Director of Learning Resources and Records Management with Douglas College, in New Westminster, British Columbia.
Her research involves understanding the awareness and development of critical information literacy frameworks for higher education library instruction. She is interested in how academic librarians are implementing threshold concepts and critical information literacy in their practice. These literacies are related to researching, evaluating and contributing to scholarly discourse in an academic environment.
