This project will research the use and inclusivity of lecture recording at Edinburgh.
Yuchen Wang is a research assistant on ‘Lecture Recording for Inclusive Education’. Her research has focused on inclusive education development and the implications of student voice. She completed her PhD research ‘Imagining Inclusive Schooling’ at the University of Edinburgh, which examined disabled children’s learning and participation in mainstream schools in Shanghai through an ethnographic approach. With the support of ESRC Global Challenges Research Fund Postdoctoral Fellowship (Counting Every Child In, ceciproject.org), the research was further disseminated to key stakeholders in the country including families, activists, academics, policy-makers, school practitioners and international agencies. She currently teaches ‘Comparative Approaches to Inclusive and Special Education’ on the MSc Inclusive Education Programme at Moray House, and also works on a project ‘Telling It Like It Is’ to research experiences of low-income families with deaf children in the UK. She has been actively promoting Scotland-China exchange and partnerships in education.
