Working title 'Multiple. Dynamic. Complex: An Investigation of Investment in English as a Second Language on Facebook'
I am researching how Facebook is being used for informal language learning. The two languages that are being investigated –Cornish (a minority language) and English –have been chosen on account of the differing sociolinguistic contexts in which they reside. The aim of this study is to explore investment in language learning as related to the development of learners’ imagined identities and imagined communities via interaction on Facebook.
