Rebecca Eynon

Professor of Education, the Internet, and Society, University of Oxford

Rebecca is Professor of Education, the Internet, and Society at the University of Oxford. At the University she is jointly appointed by the Oxford Internet Institute and the Department of Education, where she leads the Critical Digital Education Research group. Her research focuses on the intersections between new technologies, learning and education across the lifecourse, and questions of equity and social justice.

Rebecca’s research has been supported by a range of funders including the British Academy, the European Commission and Google.

She was co-editor of Learning, Media and Technology from 2011-2021 and remains on the editorial board. 

Rebecca is currently an international investigator for the Centre for the Digital Child funded by the Australian Research Council, exploring questions of datafication and education; and directs a three-year project titled, Towards Equity Focused Approaches to EdTech, funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council’s Education Programme.
