Mailing list (Centre for Research in Digital Education)
We are using information about you because you have given us your consent (if you are external to the University of Edinburgh) or where the legal basis of legitimate interest exists (University of Edinburgh) to include you on our mailing list(s) for the purpose of notifying you about Digital Education news, events and announcements.
To do so, we use Dotdigital as our (external) mailing system. The information we hold on you will be restricted to your name and email address. Your personal data will not be shared though your email address will be visible to University of Edinburgh staff with access to Dotdigital.
We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes in respect of our mailing lists. You can ask to be removed from our mailing list at any time by updating your subscription preferences via any email we send to you. We will also query whether you wish to remain on our mailing list annually.

Events
We will use your personal data to allow us to process your registration, communicate with you and obtain feedback about our events. We process information about you for these purposes because by registering for our events, you are entering into a contractual agreement for us to do so. In order to facilitate online bookings for our events, we use Eventbrite and Zoom, which are third party services not operated by the University of Edinburgh.
If you wish to attend an event organised by the Centre for Research in Digital Education but do not wish to use Eventbrite or Zoom to register, please email the event organiser. Contact details for each event are provided on the event booking page.
We will not share information about you with any other third party. Your details will be removed from Eventbrite (after 120 days) and Zoom (after the event).
If you have agreed to be contacted about future events, we will hold your personal data for as long as you subscribe to our mailing list.
