This session explores how students can make good use of their own data gathered through learning analytics. Drawing on findings from the Learning Analytics Report Card project (L.A.R.C.) we will look at the following questions:
• What are "learning analytics"?
• Who owns student data?
• What is the role of tutors and teachers in interpreting student data?
• How can students be empowered to use their own data?
