
Centre colleague Professor Andrew Manches, Chair in Children and Technology, will take part in a debate around the use of AI in education at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

As AI transforms how we learn and teach, this debate explores its impact on classrooms, educators and lifelong learners. Set in Adam Smith’s historic home, join experts from education, tech and philosophy to ask: Can AI enhance learning or diminish it? What values should guide AI in education? Hosted by Prof. Adam Dixon, with panelists Prof. Andrew Manches and Dr Megan Crawford, moderated by Prof. Thusha Rajendran. Participate via live polls and Q&A.
