Ctrl Alt Teach

Ctrl Alt Teach aims to promote computing teacher careers to computer science students in Scottish universities.

There is a shortage of computing teachers in Scotland, which is a barrier to developing young people’s computer science, data and digital literacy skills. This campaign aims to attract more computer science students to choose teaching as a career, and promote the sector as an attractive place to work, learn, and grow.

This is a joint initiative between Skills Development Scotland, the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (a collaboration of 14 Scottish Universities), the University of Edinburgh, and Digital Skills Education.

Watch the campaign video which features Scottish computing teachers talking about why this is an exciting and rewarding career. It's great to see the enthusiasm and passion for the sector come to life on camera.
