Data Education in Schools launch their website

The Data Education in Schools team have launched their project website today.

The website offers a range of access points for teachers, schools, parents and industry professionals to learn about and take part in improving data literacy in Scotland.  Visitors to the site can learn about data literacy by attending events, using Data Education in Schools teaching resources and engaging with the team's work developing a data science curriculum for Scotland.

The vision of the Data Education in Schools programme of work, and of the Edinburgh & South East Scotland City Region Deal’s Data-Driven Innovation Skills Gateway of which the programme is a part, is that Scotland’s learners are able to use data to benefit themselves and their communities while living in an increasingly data-driven world.

This week the team are marking Maths Week Scotland (#MathsWeekScot) with an event on 30th Sept ‘Making sense of coronavirus data for your learners’ and by sharing the resources they’ve created that celebrate the integral connection between maths and data literacy.
