About
Please celebrate with us the launch of the book Data Justice and the Right to the City (Edinburgh University Press 2022). The book explores the intersecting concerns of data justice - both the harms and civic possibilities of the datafied society – and the right to the city - a call to redress the uneven distribution of resources and rights in urban contexts. These concerns are addressed through the themes of digital social services, education, labour, and art and activism.
The launch will feature a series of brief talks by the editors and contributors, including:
- Benedetta Catanzariti
- Morgan Currie
- Huw Davies
- Karen Gregory
- Jeremy Knox
- Callum Mcgregor
- Pip Thornton
- Nicolas Zehner
Sponsored by the ESRC project Automating Universal Credit and the Centre for Research in Digital Education.
