Keynote: 'Propositions for the design of positive, postdigital spaces of learning'

Dr James Lamb delivered the opening presentation of the eduhub days 2024 conference in Winterthur Switzerland last month. The annual eduhub conference is dedicated to e-learning, teaching, technology, and didactics within Swiss Higher Education Institutions. The theme for 2024 was 'Redefining Learning Spaces One innovation at a Time'.

James' presentation, titled 'Propositions for the design of positive, postdigital spaces of learning', explored the following:

• An online space is always also a physical space
• Create space for imagination
• Innovation without exclusion
• Attend to the aesthetic, emotional and sensory elements of a learning space
• Pursue pleasure and make room for play!
• Every learning space should be designed in harmony with our natural world
