I manage communications, coordinate events and support impact evaluation for the Centre for Research in Digital Education, with a focus on the Data Education in Schools programme. My work largely involves collaborating with colleagues on the delivery of school engagement activities. I have been seeking opportunities to pursue my interest in educational outreach since my doctoral studies in Classics (Ancient History). I worked with the Scottish charity Open Past on a project putting History and Archaeology learning materials in the hands of the schools. in 2023, I was Ancient History Project Coordinator at the Edinburgh Sutton Trust Summer School, an event aiming to facilitate access to Higher Education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Being interested in the intersections between historical research and digital technologies, I attended a workshop on "AI and Ancient Writing Cultures" at the University of Bologna and a course on Social Network Analysis for Ancient History research. Alongside my interest in educational outreach, I also explored community and public engagement opportunities: from 2023 to 2025, I volunteered as Communications Officer for AIGU (Italian Association of Youth for UNESCO), designing and delivering events to raise awareness on the UNESCO cultural heritage in collaboration with schools, higher education institutions, museums and other institutions.
