Feedback from Computer Science Education week
Computer Science Education week events took place at Moray House School of Education last week, 3rd-9th December.
'Intro to Stat Wars' laid the foundations for participants to enter a national competition to design a film or TV series using data analysis. The 'Technology for good: design challenge' focused on indisciplinary working (informatics and STEM subjects) to deisgn projects for children to use technology in solving societal problems. 'Coding and cake' gave participants the opportunity to learn visual block-based programming, create cartoon animations, scripting shapes and drawing spirograph-style art.
Following 'Coding and Cake: Introduction to Scratch programming' one participant shared the Christmas puppy inspired animation they created using skills learnt in the workshop:
