Doctoral student Stephen Sowa, Dr. Ramey Affifi (Moray House School of Education and Sport) and Dr Sharon Maguire (Careers Service) have organised an event exploring how UoE students can be supported to prepare for job automation and emerging career opportunities while also contributing positively to sustainable development. The event will take place on 7th September (in person) at George Square, 9.30-12pm.

Findings and insights from the recent Sustainable Careers Project will be presented at this knowledge exchange event. This PTAS (Principal's Teaching Award Scheme) funded project, involving a collaboration between staff at Moray House School of Education and Sport and the Careers Service, has included the development of a sustainable career learning intervention. The intervention was developed using participatory approaches with career practitioners and UoE students. It has been designed with the intention of supporting students across the UoE to learn how their future careers can be shaped by new technologies in the world of work, as well as learning how they can contribute to sustainable development.

The event will also invite attendees to actively share their insights and explore how they could support students in their respective school/programme/course to prepare for their future careers and contribute to sustainable development.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
