Dr Giovanna Pasquariello

Impact and Engagement Administrator

I handle communications and support impact evaluation for the Centre for Research in Digital Education and the Data Education in Schools project. Motivated by a strong interest in community engagement and outreach opportunities, I collaborated with the Scottish charity Open Past on a project putting History and Archaeology learning materials in the hands of the schools. I am also a volunteer member and Communications Officer for AIGU (Italian Association of Youth for UNESCO), designing and delivering events on heritage preservation and promotion in collaboration with schools, higher education institutions, museums and other institutions. I have a PhD in Classics. During my doctorate, I completed a workshop on "AI and Ancient Writing Cultures" at the University of Bologna and a course on Social Network Analysis for Ancient History research. In 2023, I was Project Coordinator in Ancient History at the Edinburgh Sutton Trust Summer School, an event aimed at facilitating access to Higher Education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
