I have a varied professional experience of more than 15 years, having worked as a team leader in a corporate setting, translator, civil servant, interpreter in a diplomatic organisation and student administration in higher education. I am currently working full-time at the University of Edinburgh as a Data Coordinator, analysing research, knowledge exchange and impact related performance data.
I am doing my PhD part-time and my research interests are broadly in the area of digital education. I am interested in data literacy and education for children at primary school level. My current focus is on understanding the core concepts that contribute to data literacy among children at all stages of reading, analysing and communicating data.
Thesis working title: Pedagogical methods and approaches for teaching data literacy to children at early primary level in Scotland
