Thusha is Professor of Developmental Psychology at Heriot-Watt University. He is the Director of the Centre for Applied Behavioural Sciences and the Head of his own Lab (the Developmental Psychology in Action Lab).
He is also a member of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.
His research interests include socially assistive and developmental robotics – and how new technologies might influence the social and cognitive development of children, especially children with developmental disorders like autism. He is a Co-I on the UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Node on Trust.
