Dr. Ivana Milojević delivered the closing keynote at the Anticipatory Governance Conference. From reactive bureaucracy to anticipatory leadership, hosted by the University of Trento from 8–10 May.
The event brought together international experts to explore how organisations can shift from reactive practices to anticipatory leadership. In her address, Dr. Milojević examined both the constructive and destructive dimensions of anticipatory governance, emphasizing the potential for futures thinking to be used or misused. Her keynote included a rich array of case studies drawn from the EU and its member states, the USA, Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.
She also presented insights from her recent co-authored publication with the Asian Development Bank, ADB Foresight in Action: Prospective Policy Making in Asia and the Pacific.
