Higher Education Access Programmes and Connected Education for Students with Refugee Backgrounds: A Global South Delphi Study

Even with the availability of Higher Education Access Certificate - (HEAC) programmes as bridging and transition programmes, still, few refugee learners access higher education through HEAC, as most HEAC programmes in global south host-country contexts are majorly face-to-face, with limited connected education provision and accreditation challenges. Diversifying HEAC provision and delivery can potentially break down barriers to access, participation and accreditation. Using a Delphi futures-oriented methodology, a panel of experts will be engaged to co-agenda, and co-create a connected education approach for HEAC provision and delivery.  A three-stage Delphi research methodology will be implemented to engage HEAC programme providers, educators and National Council of Higher Education Programme Accreditation Officers in the global south to re-imagine a connected education approach to HEAC provision, delivery, accreditation and possible connected learning opportunities for curriculum enhancement.
