Our programme is assessed entirely through coursework — no exams. We hold our students to a high standard, while giving them the freedom to shape assignments around their own professional interests: critical, applied, and experimental.

Assessment approaches vary across courses, but the programme is especially known for encouraging students to explore multimodal and multimedia work. We value excellent written essays, and we're equally excited to see students push academic knowledge into new formats — blogs, web essays, videos, podcasts, and other creative modes of writing.

Every student on our programme completes an independent dissertation project – the culmination of their MSc and a chance to pursue a question or idea that matters to them in real depth. Throughout the programme, students complete a range of coursework assignments that let them explore ideas critically, apply them to real professional contexts, and experiment with how academic work can be presented.
