Commercialization and privatization of/in education in the context of Covid-19

Funded by Education International, the global federation of teacher unions, this project mapped the changing landscape of educational privatization and commercialization during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The findings included that privatization has accelerated through the involvement of private technology companies in public education during the pandemic, and that commercialization has expanded through a new model of for-profit education technology services sold directly to consumers.

The final report, which is intended to inform how teacher unions around the world respond to educational change during the pandemic, is published at:
