The Centre for Research in Digital Education is excited to announce the launch of a new journal: Postdigital Science and Education with Springer. Dr Jeremy Knox (Co-director, Data Society) is Associate Editor, while a number of other academics and associates with the centre serve on the editorial board.  It is hoped that the new journal will provide space for critical research that directly addresses the role of the digital in the education of our times.

The Centre for Research in Digital Education launched in November 2015, bringing together research within the Moray House School of Education that spanned digital pedagogy, computational and data cultures within education and the impact of digital technology on children and childhood.

The Centre now brings together this work under three themes: Digital Cultures; Children & Technology; and Data Society.  

A recording (voice and slides) of the CRDE seminar 'Analytics: The Datafication of Higher Education and Work' is now available.

Summary of a recent Festival of Creative Learning event 

Last Friday saw the succesful launch of our Data Citizenship seminar series.  

Giovanna Mascheroni (Università Cattolica of Milan), Judy Robertson (University of Edinburgh) and Ben Williamson (University of Stirling) spoke on the topic of 'Schooling Data Citizens'
