Computer Science Education Week
We're excited about international Computer Science Education week which runs from December 3rd to 9th (https://csedweek.org). A feast of events will be running at Moray House School of Education from Tuesday 4th December - Saturday 9th December.

Vacancy: Research Assistant, Move2Learn
The Moray House School of Education, University of Edinburgh, requires a part-time Research Assistant for 12 months to work on a Wellcome Trust funded Institutional Translational Award. This Translational Award is in conjunction with a Wellcome Trust/ ESRC funded Science Learning+ project: Move2Learn (M2L).

Professor Judy Roberston discusses one of the first workshops on data science delivered at Newbattle HIgh School - a Digital Centre of Excellence. Pupils were given the opportunity gain experience programming, work with micro-controllers to collect and analyse data, and make decisions about what to do with the information.

Job Purpose:
This post focuses on partner building and market research for a novel early learning technology design: The Magic Cloud. The Magic Cloud is an Internet of Things platform linking soft toys to digital animations. Key to this project is building partnerships with local education focused organisations, such as Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh Zoo, or Glasgow Science Centre.

Primary school teachers across Scotland will be getting a free printed copy of Teach Computing Science: A Guide for Early Years and Primary Practitioners this week. It's a guide to teaching the new Computing Education aspects of the Technologies curriculum in Curriculum for Excellence to help teachers who need an in depth introduction to the new expectations and outcomes.
