We offer four study options. Three flexible postgraduate study pathways as follows:

  • MSc Digital Education
  • PGCert Digital Education
  • PGDip Digital Education

and a 3-year part-time MSc Digital Education, which is eligible for student loans in the UK.

What characterises our programme?

The fully online environment on this programme offers you flexibility and high levels of support. All our students are part-time and often working in the digital education spaces that we study on the programme. 

Our courses give you the chance to work with current research and theory in the field, and to apply it to your professional practice. Our courses are academically-driven and critically-focused. We make the connection from research to practice explicit on this programme. 

The teachers on the programme are active researchers, associated with the Centre for Research in Digital Education, and are often producing some of the leading research in the field.

The teaching team are renowned innovators in the area of digital pedagogy, and will push you to develop your thinking through a rich variety of media and teaching modes. We value both critical and creative approaches to the field of digital education. Experienced tutors with strong backgrounds in teaching, research and course design create a vibrant, collaborative and stimulating online learning environment. 

You will enjoy a robust system of individual academic and pastoral support including access to an impressive range of staff in the library, information systems and student support.

Our students and alumni come from a range of backgrounds and sectors, and from over 60 nations. Participants include teachers, Ministry of Education officials, university faculty, researchers, technical developers, learning technologists, educational developers and designers – all with a driving interest in the convergence of learning with digital technologies. You will learn from these diverse experiences and expertise.
