Pete works in the community media and cultural sectors, especially in formal and non-formal learning initiatives. His research interests are in social media and workplace learning.
Rory leads on the course ‘Digital education in global context’ and leads and co-tutors on ‘An introduction to digital environments for learning’. His interests include online identity and its implications for academics.
Michael works in digital education in Sub-Saharan Africa. His research focuses on educational mobilities, appropriate and open technologies, and the impact on local knowledge practices and communities.
Jeremy is co-director of the Centre for Research in Digital Education (Data Society) and a Lecturer in Digital Education. His research interests include critical posthumanism and new materialism, and the implications of such thinking for education and educational research.
Dimitra works on the Leverhulme Trust funded project ‘Biology, Data Science, and the Making of Precision Education' and has a research interest in the nexus between science, technology and the governance of social reproduction.
Andrew is Chair in Children and Technology and Director of the Children and Technology group. He is a past ESRC Future Research Leader and now leads the UK side of a $2.4million Science Learning+ project with the US (Move2Learn).
Jen is Centre co-director (Digital Cultures), and academic lead of the Digital Cultural Heritage Research Network. Jen's research interests lie in online and open education, digital cultural heritage engagement, and digital cultures and futures.
Phil is a Lecturer in Digital Education. Her research interests are interdisciplinary, based in the area of digital and higher education, but drawing on organisational theory, cultural geography, and social theories of time.
Ben is based in the Centre for Research in Digital Education though affiliated to Edinburgh Futures Institute. Ben's research examines the intersections of digital technologies, science, and data with education policy and governance.
With a background in Human-Computer Interaction and Interaction Design, Cara explores how to better support inclusion and diversity in the development of technologies which pervade children’s lives.
